There’s nothing I enjoy more than a great week (or more) of travel, but it’s also good to make it safely back to the Commonwealth of Kentucky!
In just over a week, from December 14-22, my mom and I covered a lot of ground, from San Francisco to Las Vegas, and we saw some amazing sights. The highlights of the trip included Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, Pinnacles National Park, Pebble Beach, Red Rock Canyon, the Mojave Desert, and Joshua Tree National Park. That doesn’t even include two UK basketball games, but those didn’t exactly turn out as hoped.
We could have easily spent another day at most of these locations, and I definitely want to spend more time driving the Pacific coastline. The Bixby Creek Bridge (pictured below), between Monterey and Big Sur, was as far south as we had time to go on this trip, but it wasn’t easy to leave the coast behind for the next location!
I previously posted about our great day at Pinnacles, and I’ll have additional posts in the coming days with other photos and details from the trip. Stay tuned if you’re interested.
