About

My name is Sara Beth Gregory, and travel is my favorite subject of discussion, although it could be rivaled by University of Kentucky basketball. The best thing about discussing travel — unlike sports, politics, or even the superiority of Star Wars over Star Trek — is that you can talk with almost anyone about places they’ve been or places they’d like to go, and you aren’t likely to incite an argument. For an attorney who works in government and politics, travel is a perfect outlet and conversation topic!

After graduating from the University of Kentucky law school and joining a law firm in my hometown of Monticello, I ventured into the brave world of running for office. Until recently, I was the youngest woman ever elected to the Kentucky House, and I’m still the youngest person ever elected to the State Senate. I served two years as a State Representative (2011-12), and two years as a State Senator (2013-14). Since 2016, I’ve worked in the office of the Kentucky Auditor of Public Accounts, first as General Counsel, currently as Chief of Staff.

Speaking of politics, I originally purchased this domain name to use as a campaign website. I’ve been wanting to give the website a purpose, and I like the idea of sharing travel photos, stories, advice, and ideas.
